A Strange Present.

Jack and Molly (1 – be) twins and it was their ninth birthday. This exiting day (2 – make) them (3 – feel) very special. They (6 – get) a lot of beautiful presents, and, to their great joy, a fine new bicycle each from Mother and Father, which they (7 – dream) about for a long time. Meeting the King.

Molly and Jack turned into a wide avenue that (1 – lead) to the green park in the centre of which (2 – stand) the King’s Palace. As soon as (27 – find) it, fire signal (28 – give). And when the glad news (29 – reach) the City, all the bells (30 – start) ringing.” Such was the King’s order.

 Write a composition (20 sentences), choose one of the following topics:

1 – write about sports you enjoy watching;

2 – write about the advantages and disadvantages of different means of transport;

3 – describe a town you have recently visited;

4 – imagine that you are going to a supermarket because you have invited your friends to dinner. Make up a menu for the dinner and a shopping list of the things you need to buy.

Why Hares Have Got Long Ears.

This is Brother Hare. He is very little, but he has got a great wish. He wants to be big. He wants to be very, very clever, too.

One day Brother Hare comes to his Aunt Mammy-Bammy.

"Hallo, Aunt Mammy-Bammy!” he says. "How are you?”

"I’m fine, thank you!” says Aunt Mamy-Bammy. "And you?”

"I’m very well,too. Aunt Mammy-Bammy, can you help me?” says Brother Hare.

"What do you want?”

"I have got a great wish! I want to be very big and very, very clever”.

"I can help you if you do what I want. Can you see that bird in the tree? I want to have that bird. Give it to me”.
